Building the Garage

Every project needs a good home, so I turned to eBay and managed to get a sectional concrete garage and some 6m roof trusses. The catch was I had to collect them both and the garage sections weigh a literal few tonnes. Two trips in a hired box van with some help from brothers later, and some hacksawing trusses in half in a random street, I had all the pieces (minus roof).

I started in a corner and built out a small section of the bottom layer, then used the engine crane to support a vertical section and used the roof strut to strengthen it against the opposite one. The horizontal sections then completed the structure. The roof is completed using clear pvc wave panels.

Six lights were wired to a remote controlled relay and then a plug, and mounted to the roof.
