The plan for the “Tracked Thing” is to combine 3 discount components with my lack of welding knowledge to create a fun offroad vehicle that theoretically fits in the back of the Land Rover.
The 3 main components are:
- Bargain £50 chesterfield armchair with damage to one arm
- Bargain £50 JCB rubber tracks
- Bargain £60 GX360 that I’m told runs
A decision had to be made between go with a single engine differential steering design as opposed to electric motors due to this setup being louder, wilder and not requiring charging.
